You're in a tropical rainforest, mosquitoes, lizards, frogs, and other small creatures are part of the environment. Keep all doors and screens closed at all times. Bring mosquito repellent. Do not leave food or drinks in outdoor areas overnight, as it attracts insects and wildlife.
Puerto Rico occasionally experiences electrical outages, especially during tropical weather. Casa Esmeralda is equipped with a backup generator, so the house will stay powered through any interruption, no need to worry. There is also a 600 gallon water tank in case of a water outage.
